Former member of the world-famous boy band One Direction, Liam Payne, sadly passed away on the 16th of October, about 17:07 local time.
The famous singer had been recognised worldwide for his remarkable musical talent, particularly in One Direction, but also in his impressive solo career.
His tragic and untimely death has sparked the feeling of loss within hundreds of thousands of fans globally, as they not only mourn the passing of a beloved celebrity, but a personal connection with their childhood and adolescence as the connection Payne held with their identity is lost.
However, his passing can be seen as a sign to the younger generation to really value their time and make the most of what they have, as you never know how soon things you take for granted could end.
To show our appreciation and love for the star, the school counsellor set up a Liam Payne Memorial book for students to sign at lunchtime the week of his death. Pictured are some of his biggest fans writing messages in the book as they grieve the loss of Liam Payne.
